A Prayer: Spring
By Kristen Wichman ‘26 Dear Lord, Thank you for the bright sun. Thank you for the birds that produce the sweetest sounds compared to anyone. Thank you for each and every one. Thank you for the rain. Thank you for the sight of airplanes. Thank you for the squirrels that run and hide across all campus sides. Thank you for the fresh air. Thank you for the wind that blows through my hair. Thank you for my ability to care. Thank you for the crisp grass. Thank you for each and every class. Thank you for things both big and small. Lord, I thank you for it all. |
After the Rain
By Kristen Wichman ‘26 Various colors colliding as the rain is slowly subsiding. The blue sky where the moisture lies and the green grass eminently revives, as the cold, cool air washed away by the mighty sun and all things toxic radiated by Heaven's tears. After the rain, the sky clears and the rainbow disappears. But have no fear for hope is near and happiness is here. |
